YUIL (油日) is a branding project that reimagines a traditional Korean oil mill as a contemporary brand experience, based on the concept of a second-generation mill owner who has inherited the family business. Focusing on the familiar surroundings of the traditional market, the oil-making process, and the relationships formed within the mill, the project reconstructs its various scenes and experiences through a contemporary visual language. From products and packaging to the various elements required for the store and brand operations, the project creates a cohesive brand experience that connects the entire process of the mill, from production to purchase. In particular, the work and everyday activities that take place within the mill are treated as key elements of the brand, allowing consumers to experience not only the products themselves but also the processes and stories behind them. Through this approach, YUIL aims to carry forward the everyday value of traditional Korean oil mills in a way that resonates with contemporary audiences.
