게임은 이야기를 감상하는 데 그치지 않고, 플레이어가 직접 조작하고 선택하며 경험하는 매체라는 점에서 다른 매체와 차별성을 가집니다. 그러나 플레이를 하다 보면 플레이어가 선택의 주체라기보다 이미 정해진 이야기를 따라가는 감상자처럼 느끼는 경우도 있습니다. 우리 팀은 이러한 게임의 능동적 특성에 주목하여, 플레이어의 선택과 행동이 결말을 바꾸고 스스로 메시지를 해석할 수 있는 게임을 기획하였습니다. Project Green은 환경 문제를 소재로 하여, 눈앞의 문제를 해결하는 것만으로는 근본적인 해결에 도달하기 어렵다는 메시지를 담았습니다. 환경 문제는 하나의 원인이나 정답으로 설명할 수 없으며, 한 가지 문제를 해결하기 위한 선택이 예상하지 못한 또 다른 문제를 만들어낼 수도 있습니다. 이에 플레이어에게 명확한 정답이나 교훈을 직접 제시하는 대신, 자신이 내린 선택이 어떤 결과로 이어졌는지 확인하고 서로 다른 단서들을 조합하며 사건의 원인과 결과를 스스로 추론하도록 구성하였습니다. 이를 통해 단순히 환경 보호의 필요성을 전달하는 것을 넘어, 문제를 바라보는 방식과 선택의 결과에 대해 직접 생각하고 판단하는 경험을 제공하고자 하였습니다.

Project Green was designed around the interactive nature of games, allowing players to influence the story through their choices and interpret its message through their own experiences. Project Green is a choice-driven interactive game centered around environmental pollution. Environmental issues are difficult to reduce to a single cause or solution, and choices made with an immediate solution in mind can lead to unexpected consequences. Based on this premise, the game explores how quick or surface-level fixes can obscure the real issue and unintentionally create new problems. Rather than presenting players with a clear answer or predetermined lesson, the game encourages them to make choices, observe changes in their surroundings, and gather scattered pieces of information. By connecting these clues and examining the causes and consequences of their choices, players piece together the full story of the incident on their own. Through this process, the game aims to encourage players to consider problems from multiple perspectives and develop their own understanding of the consequences of their decisions.
